    Sad News

    Hi everyone,

I was just talking about our little Dekayi named Connor snake the other day on another thread and was surprised by the short life span indicated by Wayne (Infernalis). I am sorry to say we have just discovered that Connor snake has passed. I could tell recently that she was looking a little thinner (as if they could!) and thought she might be gettoing up in age,a s we have had her with us for 4 years. She was a wild caught Dekayi that my son Connor had caught while looking for earthworms for our first wild caught garter, Stewie. Connor caught her at age 4. He is very upset that hi ssnake is gone. I told him that she had a really good life while here. Except for the occasional almost being swallowed by her cage mate, Beauty; life, all in all, was good.

We (Connor, his Dad and I) just buried her and my squiggle who passed while I was away in July. We have a special area in our back yard for our snakes and froggies so they will not be disturbed.

Thank you for letting me express our sadness.

Our thoughts and prayer are with Conner and the rest of your family.
She had a life with a caring family and that is good.

Always sad news when a squiggle dies. At least she got to a ripe old age and passed naturally after a good long life.
