    As much as I would love to keep all fifteen babies I can only keep one. The licensing you have to obtain from ODNR was hard enough for the two I already have. I can't imagine what it would be for fifteen. I'm off tomorrow so I will be releasing the little ones back into the wild where I caught their mother. This is probably the best option for them. I'd love to release them by the pond in the subdivision but I don't want to be messing up any Eco systems there. The one I have decided to keep is showing some very bright orange markings. I am curious to see how it colors up as it gets older.

    Some cute snakes. I just had a litter of easterns too. Was yours from Ohio? Does one of those have some red on it? Eastern litters are always so variable, it's wonderful.

    Yes they are from Ohio. I haven't seen any red on them. Just the one with lots of orange.
