What to do with these babies

So like I said in my intro post my daughter and I have been housing a healthy female eastern garter that we took from the outdoors with the expectation of keeping her for about a week. Week turned to approx 1-1/2 months and before you know it vacation is coming up fast. We planned on releasing "no-feet" today but she decided to have 17 baby garters last night while my wife and I were away for a wedding. Is it safe to release "no-feet" and her 17 babies at this point? I don't want to sentence the babies and "no-feet" to there demise but I want them back in the wild. Please advise on release back to there native habitat. I haven't found much on the internetz...

The babies can fend for themselves, the important thing is to either release them and the mother where the mother was found, or to not release them at all.

If you release the lot back in the general(exact if possible) area they will be back in natures hands as if you were never there. I would suggest an early morning release to give everyone time to find a spot before the heat of the day.

Thank you so much for the replies. We will be releasing the lot of them tomorrow in the same set of woods we found them. I'm sure my daughter and I will be slightly saddened upon releasing "no feet" in particular but we will surely find comfort in the fact that they are where they belong. Additionally I can't say I regret housing "no feet" as my daughter and I bonded immensely from this experience ans she learned alot from it, as did I of course.
