i wish more people around here liked snakes in general. if someone sees ANY snake its off to get a shovel, machete, or shotgun, and the only venomous snake i know of in my general area are copperheads. most of the snakes people see are black snakes/rat snakes. now everyone wants to know why there are so many mice rats and other rodents that like to burrow through peoples yards.

I feel you, people just need to leave snakes alone when they see them or call someone to remove it there's no need to kill them

i used to be that way mostly out of fear of copperhead and stories of black snakes/rat snakes standing up on their tails and not backing down but now i know just back away and it will be ok
