Hello!!!

I'm new so HI!!! I've always loved snakes, and always enjoy going out to catch garter and water snakes in the marsh near my house. Recently I was on craigslist and I saw a free garter snake for sale! I immediately contacted them and the next day I went to pick him up. when I got their I realized that he was in horrible condition. They were keeping him in a tiny critter keeper thing without any water. I took him home and he's currently living in a 40 gallon tank. He doesn't mind being held and hasn't tried to bite me once. I'm going to a expo in july and hoping to get some more garter snakes there.

Hi, currently I'm feeding him frozen thawed feeder fish and earth worms. I believe he is an eastern garter. I am in New England .
