    y does my

    t.s. pickeringii's dorsal and side stripes change color? when i first got him the were perfectly blue. then he got a couple inches bigger they turned yellow, and now there turning blue again, is it a blue morph or a yellow morph?

    never heard of that myself.....some snakes (erythristics and flames) get redder as they get older.....

    I believe there is a red morph of the pickeringii. However, I want to ask whether the color changes you are seeing are before or after a shed, and how long after.

    My pickeringii grow dull and less blue as their skin ages... then they shed it and turn blue again... and so on...

    Most snakes are a more vivid color right after a shed.
