So.......... I was in the snake room feeding snakes. I had one of the largest enclosures open and had stepped away for a moment. One of the big girl radixes was finishing up a very large night crawler and was hanging partially out. I was done with that group so I went to move her back in.
Unbeknownst to me I had picked up a static charge as I crossed the room. As I touched her she went flying up in the air and ran to her hide. I felt terrible but had to laugh. First time that's ever happened. She's probably in there telling her friends I used a taser on her.

That happens to my dog and cat all winter. Carpeted apartment + dry Denver air = chain lightning.
