    Missed the comment about your snake being about 25 inches.. He should be able to eat whole pinkies.

    Scenting, you take a live guppy or canadian nightcrawler and rub it against the pinky

    What I do to scent is I chop up whatever I want to use to scent, put it in a sealed container with what I am trying to scent and vigorously shake it. Works every time.

    Also if the snake isn't used to pinkies, cutting them open so the insides smell more strongly seems to help a little. Or chopping something the snake is used to eating up with chopped pinky if just rubbing it on the pinky doesn't work. Usually mine have started taking unscented after one or two feedings.
