Beautiful snakes, I have one erythristic radix but she is nowhere near the color of yours! Hopefully mine will look like that when she gets older. I wish you the best of luck with these snakes!

    Re: Seeing Red

I thank you all for the kind words. I was just glad to be in a position to take these groups on. All of the real praise goes to Steve's friend who has worked with that captive red line for years. Yes Jeff, very bright, you almost need sunglasses to check these two out after a shed. I think I have a male and female at this point, I'll try and get some underside pics up and see what you all think. I'm glad to have them and hope to enjoy many years with them, great radix pair.

On a different note. One of the siblings in this group, there are eight other snakes from the litter, has red scales that look like random dots all along its body. After a feeding once I thought maybe it was blood from the worm and pinky mix but it didn't come off. As the snake has grown the "dots" have become more noticeable to where my wife even pointed it out the other day (she never pays any attention to these guys). Any thought on what this snake might look like as it becomes adult size? Or why only certain scales show like this. It makes me wonder if I shouldn't hang on to this one as well. but one more head to feed leaves less room for what I would like to get this spring. We'll see. I'll try to post some pics as well.

Yeah I knew I wasn't going to be able to bring that up and not show pics. I'll try and get some up tomorrow in better light.
