    new baby het plains

my aneurystic canadian plains gave birth this morning!
    1 dead,
3 wierdly disformed. (one has eyes in its mouth, so will probably have to do the evil deed)

and about 12 perfect !! will post pics later...

They all look normal coloured, dad was normal, mum is aneuristic, does that make them 50% het? possible het?

    Re: new baby het plains

    congrats on your healthy babies
and sorry about the ones who aren't
I'm a bit foggy on the exactitude of genetics, but I imagine they'd be 50% het (ducking right now - just in case)
just a question unrelated to births:
I've noticed that my anery plains garters have all surpassed their age-mated in growth - both last year's and this year's
in fact - this year's anery female is almost as big as last year's other males (make sense at all?)
how does yours compare to age mates?

    congrats with the babies!
    sorry about the deformed ones...

The baby's should be 100% het anerystic. 50% het (or sometimes called 66% het )are from het. X het. pairings.
