Here is Tank trying to decide whether to go to bed or not. He decided not to.
His front paws are almost as big as my hands.
He is a calm, cool and collected young man.

How big will his water tub have to be when he's fully grown?

Big. Probably 75 gal. He's in a 25 gal. right now.

Nope. He's not allowed outside without adult supervision.
They are climbing and digging machines and do a lot of moving during the night.

Tank just got up and went to his water. Once in his water he gave me the hungry look. He is scheduled to eat today so I headed to the kitchen to cut his steak up. I looked around the corner and saw Tank peeking out the corner of his opening. He only had enough of his head out so one eye could keep an eye on the kitchen. When I came around the corner with his plate he started to climb out towards me. Poor starving turtle. I love the way he knows what is going on. He knew where I would be coming from and waited. He's done this before only to be disappointed when it's not a food day. He looks at my hands to see if I have the plate. Once he doesn't see it he retreats to his water, probably calling me names.
The neat thing is he doesn't come out and bite, looking for food. He knows there isn't any and relaxes.
I've never seen any snapping turtle do this before. Hungry usually means bite something.
I love Tank.
