I don't. I'm not even on that subject. As usual, you're assuming I'm trying to make a point other than the one I'm trying to make.

In other words, you're trying to make a point about an issue other than the one at hand.

Bigger Isn't Always Better - YouTube

I just came across this video.....Is this guy killing all these babies for no apperant reason(to me)? I don't know anything about snakes in eggs....But I noticed some are moving and some are not. And I also feel like if they hadn't hatched themselves, they probably weren't ready to open... But maybe they can still live. I know at the Busch wild life sanctuaty in Florida I talked to one of the guys that works there about this "Special" alligator they have there. She was apperantly found as an opened egg, and was nothing but a yolk sack, and was wrapped in guaze until she matured and now she's huge.

Just remembered I have this pic of her

Also isn't "leucistic" pronounced "leukistic" rather than "leusitic." I know the prefix "leuko" means white....So it would make sense.

He's not killing them. He incubates to full term and when one or a few begin pipping, he opens them all. He says that if you don't do that, you'll lose some to suffocation. Whatever.

Both pronunciations are acceptable. I prefer the way he says it. I don't hear very many people pronounce it the other way.

90% of their videos are of them slitting eggs open. Gets boring after a while.

Ok....I didn't think he would just be killing them....I just didn't think you should be cutting open unhatched eggs....I mean if they were going to die of suffocation, then how do they survive in the wild? Does the mother snake come back after so long and slit the eggs open with her pocket knife?

Who says they all do? That's irrelevant anyway. These aren't wild eggs. These are also taken from the mother and artificially incubated instead of cared for by the mother, not that it makes any difference. These guys claim that they don't lose any to suffocation if they slit them. Apparently, they do lose some if they don't cut them open. Sure, they haven't hatched but they are full-term. They don't cut them until eggs begin to pip. In other words, they are ready to hatch. After cutting, the snakes will have air to breathe. The only thing left to do is absorb the remaining yolk and they're ready to crawl out.

I wasn't implying that all eggs survive in the wild. I was just implying that if cutting open was mandatory, none would survive in the wild. I know these aren't wild snakes, but thats where they come from. I don't really even know what kind they are. I just know originally at some point thats where they came from....

    Here's a happy post!

My little sister (who used to be a vegatarian) Just got her first deer!!! A beautiful 6 X 4 whitetail buck. She made a perfect shot, double lung and also hit the heart, so a quick clean kill. The deer will fill her freezer and make many wonderful meals. I am so proud of her I could burst. My hobby is taxidermy, and within that hobby my specialty is skull cleaning, so I will have the absolute honor of cleaning her deer's skull for her.

Would anyone be offended if I posted a photo of her with her buck? I live in WY and this is everyday stuff to me, but I know that hunting is not everyone's cup of tea & I completely respect that...

On another note, on Monday we are going to make a third attempt at buying a house... I'm going to stop saying "this one could be the one", because I have come to realize that this is a very tough game. Stress levels are starting to rise to the breaking point, so.. che sara, sara (what will be, will be). Wish us luck!
