Hey, I was going to reply to a post but obviously a series of them were deleted before I had the chance. What I was going to say is, those posts were not edited as Bruce seems to think. Posts that are edited are marked as edited. I for one am sick of people making mountains out of mole hills. Get a thicker skin. I sure as heck don't go getting bent out of shape when a black person calls me a racial slur. We're all targets. Get over it.

Only if the moderator who edits them takes the time to fill in the reason for editing. Speaking of which, one single word was in fact edited. A pun, that on one hand meant exactly what it was edited into and on the other hand, could well be taken as a slur.

Some targets come under heavier fire than others and that needs to be taken into consideration. Also, this is the wrong place to be a richard. This is a place where people are supposed to be able to let their guard down and not have to worry about unjustified hostility or be constantly reminded of it.

That's it? Apart from maybe Eric Cartman, has anyone called for the extermination of red haired, freckled, skinny, people with overbites, for example? Has it been a crime at some point? Has it been classified as a mental illness? As an adult, are you considered a pariah, at least in some parts of the country? Are you denied rights because of that overbite? Are there well-funded campaigns to keep those rights from you? Do freckles come with a death sentence somewhere in the world? Do people beat your kind to death for any of those traits?

Anyway, apparently I didn't see the unedited posts, saw no slur, so I was not understanding what the big deal was. All I saw was a reference to a movie. Had I known about the edit, we wouldn't be having this dialogue.
