I just had my mind blown. Many years ago I purchased a compaq scanner for my 800mhz desktop computer. I scanned and cropped out part of an advertisement I found in a hunting magazine. I uploaded it, using AOL dial-up, to AOL's "download center" to share it with other AOL users. That was the year 2000. I Never saw it again.

Moments ago, one of my friends posted it to facebook. I know it's mine because it has all the same flaws, such as a slight uneven black border in one spot where I cropped it out.

This is like signing a dollar bill, spending it, then getting it as change 12 years later. What a trip.

Ha. Reminds of a friend I had who subtly "signed" almost every dollar bill in hope that that would happen. And it did. Somehow he ended up with one of those subtly but distinguishable bills in his wallet again.

Well I can't help that. My off-topic posts belong in this thread. Not my fault if nobody posted in between them.

You think that's a trip, there's a true story of a person who got a $5 for their birthday when they were a kid. It was signed, happy birthday, all of that. Many, many, many years later they got it back. On their birthday. It was a story on that old show "that's incredible".

Another one that happened was this elementary school class all released helium ballons. EAch one had a tag with the students name. One of the balloons traveled I don't know how many miles and landed in a persons yard. That person had the same name as the name on the tag. And no, it wasn't "John Smith" LoL. Wasn't a common name at all.

OH, and BTW, the people protesting were protesting Portland buget cuts. They MUST make cuts. The thing is, I bet these people would also riot if the city raised their property taxes to cover the budget. Where do they think the money comes from? Sure as hell doesn't grow on trees.

Yeah I saw that episode, used to watch some of those. There's some crazy stuff.

And thanks, I forgot the ask what the riot was about.

Any braniacs out there know if live moss would die in a pure CO2 environment? I was thinking of ways that I could kill bugs in live moss growing on wood, without killing the moss or adding toxins that would make the object/moss useless for terrarium use.

Trying to figure out how to use collected moss or moss covered objects, while ensuring there are no springtails or other insects. I also don't know if this would work on their eggs though. Ideally, I want bugs gone, moss alive and toxin-free.

Give it a shot. Tell us how it works out. Try freezing, too.
