Thanks RedSidedSPR! I have seen the pics of your anery and he is awesome. From your videos he looks a little more black than Molly which is cool.

Awesome! I had forgotten about your anerythristic parietalis. She's soooo pretty! I like how you have a pretty wide variety and they are all the same subspecies

I don't know if Molly is a typical redsided female, but she has an amazing personality. She is like a dog! When she was young, she would hide a lot, but the last two years she is always hanging out waiting for attention. She has never tried to strike at me. When I reach in her cage she slithers right up my arm. She LOVES food and has never gone off it. Even when she is going to shed. I've never had a radix, but from the way Steve talks about them, Molly may have been a radix in another life .

They are always up for sale when baby time comes around. And they are reasonably priced. I recommend them to all

Thanks for clarifying that, I was thinking I might have to search for years to find one to buy cuz they were so rare.

    Re: Carly's Garters

Naahh... someone has them for sale every season. Albinos, anery's, snows. It's the snows that are a little more scarce, as that requires the snake to be both albino and anery simultaneously.

You could breed an anery to an albino, but if those parents don't carry the albino or anery gene (respectively) also, all you'll get is normal snakes het for both traits. Then you have to breed those together and cross your fingers that the babies will be homozygous for both traits. I think it's like, a 1 in 64 chance, or something like that. Odds aren't good for making snows and it requires more than one generation to even have the chance, if you just start out with an albino (het for nothing else) and an anery (also het for nothing else)

That's ok, I'm not interested in snow anyway. However the albinos are growing on me. Maybe someday, especially since they are the ones my hubby, who rarely has an opinion to share, besides, "Eh, it's a snake" likes them too... Thanks for the info.

I just wanna have Molly's twin... I love her distinct markings and beautiful blue coloring...

The odds of having twins aren't very good as it is, and you want to have Molly's twin? Well good luck to you and your husband.

    Thank Richard.

Still, someday I will find me a girl similar to Molly to call my own, I just need to be patient. I'm so glad she is such a good friend for you, Carly.
