Same, gotta keep it varied or they lose interest, in my experience.

Stands to reason that it's probably a survival tactic. Different foods offer a different balance of nutrients.

Makes sense. Wouldn't live as long off fish alone

She refused worms so I know she's not eating because she's in shed. They are by far her favourite food and when shes hungry will chase my hands around the terrarium because she associates worms with my hands

Her adult tank arrived today! It was took a while to build because I couldn't get it to line up properly(my fault as the wood was cut perfectly). After half an hour of fiddling I thought "sod it!" and forced the screws into the holes like an impatient toddler doing a jigsaw puzzle But it ended up all right.I can just fill in the gaps with silicone.
Attachment 7357 I'll post some more pictures up of my progress with the rock wall.

My male radix will go on and off food randomly, nothing to do with sheds. Sometimes he eats like a pig and will eat whatever is offered, other times he refuses everything for weeks. When he is eating I tend to offer him a little more, make hay while the sun shines.

Same with my adult red sided, like now for instance. He hasn't eaten in almost 3 weeks. Next week he'll probably be gorging himself.
