It can be...sometimes it is mixed in with a bit of urates or poop...if they are stressed enough, they will urinate or defecate on you as well. You know musk because it stinks! Don't give up hope...my favorite girl, Cee Cee...who is wild caught...was terrified of me for at least a year. Now she comes over to me if I stick my hand in the tank...often comes out to see me if I call to her...and sometimes she even climbs out of her tank into my hands for a cuddle. Take it slow and give the snake time. Start by just putting your hand in the tank and letting the snake come to you for a while. I also have a female radix that is slowly coming around. When I first got her back in March...she was fine...then a couple months later she started biting the crap out of me whenever I would try to put my hands near her. Now she is coming around. She still tries to bite me sometimes, but if I show her I am not scared and not into her nonsense and just pick her up anyway...she calms down and cuddles. It took some time though...I had to leave her be for a while and take it very slow with her.
