    There are little differences, just like between any other species/subspecies. This type of ribbon snake is Thamnophis proximus orarius. It's also the same as what I have As Steve said the Northwestern is Thamnophis ordinoides. Ribbons are generally a little more slender. They also tend to have a small spot just in front of the eye, and unmarked lip scales.
