    Re: Ziggy

Thanks everyone...it means a lot that you care. She is still hanging in there. She looks very dull...I'm hoping that maybe she is just getting ready to shed and her nares are blocked...but she hasn't been very active and she doesn't look well. I will just have to wait and see. I'm going to feed everyone today...we'll see if she eats.

    Re: Ziggy

Marnie I'm sorry. We all know you're giving her the best care she can get and is certainly being cared for better than any garter snake could generally hope for. Our thoughts are with you.

Thanks, Peter. She wouldn't eat tonight. I'm just waiting to see what happens. I can't even hold her to comfort her because it just stresses her out too much...I don't want to make her feel worse.

Sorry to read about Ziggy. I hope that she does recover, but you know that you are doing everything you can for her. Good luck.

Thanks Kat...and no Michelle...she hasn't shed yet...I was beginning to wonder about that too. She looks dull and wrinkly...a little wrinkly...but to put her in a shed box would be so stressful for her. I am misting her plants and I put a little log in there for her yesterday so that she has something to rub against.

I bet you that's what it is! Maybe she is just as slow as my little one. (Who is now active n looking for food n doing way better) Do you have a moist hide for her? I bet she'd LOVE one. With my little eastern flame ery girl that has the line on her belly, I had a clear lid on her moist hide n had it right under the light, she love to sit in warm moisture whilst basking. Maybe Ziggy would enjoy the same? I'm sure a deli would give you a clear container for under 25cents
