I agree with she although a bit small for her age...

What a very nice clean looking checkered garter i love the colors. It looks female to me too by the way it tapers but i will say it's hard to be 100% accurate sometimes on babies without popping them. I had a few males that i would have swore were female but popped male.

I would say female at this point but agree the snake needs to be a little older to nail it down.
    How old is this snake?
The reason I ask is the belly button is still very prominent. Seems to also take up too many belly scutes and I'm wondering why it is discolored.
How many times has this snake shed?

I would think female too, but as already stated, it's hard to say with babies.

Hmm..It says "she" is 5 months old, is that too old to still have a belly button?

I would think so. I've never seen them last longer then a couple week and most are gone in a couple days.
The coloration is concerning me the most but not meaning it looks infected.

My babies are a year old, they're just starting to lose their bellybuttons.. Dunno if it has to do with the fact it's a northwestern though.

Geri's belly button is now starting to fade and she's about 7 months old.
