They've always been named. I've had BigLegs and McCroak for over a year now. I had Frogger but he stopped eating and died in the water dish. I also had Shadow, but feeding 3 frogs was too expensive.. So Shadow became Snake food. He's currently in the freezer. It was more humane than letting him go around here, there is no moisture at all. BigLegs and McCroak were going to be the ones I bred. I don't think I'll be able to do it... McCroak rarely croaks now. He croaked all through the past 2 winters and a little bit into spring and then stopped completely. I haven't heard a peep out of him. I want to get a divider and give them a 3/4 planted, 1/4 water enclosure. They don't seem to enjoy when I give them a large water dish for soaking. They always hang out in the plants.

That doesn't seem to matter one bit with this species. I've found them up in trees, miles from water, in the driest part of the summer, in 100 degree heat. Didn't seem to bother them at all. I've released them in my yard, miles from water and I could still hear them croak from time to time, several years later. I still hear them croak (cool cloudy mornings or periods of high humidity after a rain shower) now and then in the backyard in Chehalis, and it's bone dry now and far from water.

That's normal. They're terrestrial (land dwelling) frogs. Generally speaking, they only use standing water to breed. Other than that, they don't need much moisture.

Also normal for this time of year. Croaking for the most part, is for attracting mates and announcing their presence to rival males. Late winter into spring is the season for that.

OO OO! My package(mentioned in another thread) just got here a few minutes ago Here is Tippy's early birthday presents.

The skull shirt says UV, which I was thinking meant it would glow in a blacklight(but why would a dog need a shirt that glows in a blacklight anyways), but then I realized it says it turns colors in the sun. I took her outside to see it, and get a picture(pic didn't turn out) and it adds alot of pink and blue, pretty much right away. It's pretty cool

Okay...I have just about had it with you people and your spider info! Do not tell me about how many spiders we ingest while we sleep each year! I will never sleep again! If I woke up and there was a wolf spider next to me...I would seriously run out of my house, down the street...and never come back. I once found a little spider in my bed and slept on the couch for three weeks. I have an exterminator who comes to spray for spiders now...but yes, the exterminator knows all about my snakes and all of my other animals and does not use anything harmful to them or spray anywhere in the vicinity of my garters. And yes, Mike...your spiders are bigger than anyone elses!

I like the picture of the horse..and his butt...lol...and the baby guinea pigs. My guinea pigs are getting very fat because I spoil them. They get a platter of veggies and fruit every night around 8pm. Around 7pm...they start squealing to high heaven for their platter!
