She is a Plateau Striped Whiptail. My cat brought her home when I lived in Westminster. She was slightly injured from it, but has recovered nicely. Nothing major....some teeth marks on her tail.
Her species is all female and they are born with the ability to lay eggs. They live in wooded areas.

She has adapted really well to captivity. She eats crickets and flies and will readily take them from my fingers. Not much for being held, but she will let you touch her. Spaz is a really good digger lol.

When the light is off she will hide under her rock, but is usually active most of the day.

I will probably release her in the coming weeks. Once I get back from my vacation.

The average person ingests about 8 spiders a year while sleeping. I've woke up before, didn't move but just opened my eyes n there was a big wolf spider staring back at me. It was only like 2-3 inches away from my eyeball.

How are they poor? They shouldn't be crawling around faces if they don't want to be eaten... Thats like a mouse bathing itself in worm juices right in front of a garter snake.

lol Sleep with your mouth open? nom nom nom. lol

I don't much care for spiders anymore... I'll take a picture of our porch/sunroom that we cannot use with out having half a freaking million spiders drop down on you. It is infested! They have breached to inside my house and declared war on me! They drop on me by the fridge, by my scorpions tank, by Ifrit's (beardie) tank, in the bathroom, by the tv, above my bed, EVERY FREAKING WHERE! I'm tired of them and found the equivalent of a nuclear warhead. Tomorrow I strike back.

I normally would never use a pesticide but this is too much, I've mashed every sac of eggs, I've squished and swatted n splatted hundreds already and destroyed all their webs three-five times in the past couple months and within two days it's like I never touched it.

I have to use wasp killer too...
Huge nest on my garage, I had put up one of those paper fake ones to hopeffully get them to vacate peacefully.... They bombarded it, tore it down. I cannot walk near that side of the building. Buddy of ours(drunk fool) thought sticking a can of monofoam (triple Expanding foam) would block them n kill them... He shoved the nozzle up there n sprayed... 20mins or less they had a new hole and were pissed.

Then a different friend(even dumber ...I don't care for his company most days) Decided that his can of bear mace would kill the wasps... He sprayed the whole can on the nest... I told him... it wouldn't kill them, just piss them off, don't do it. He had to cause he is ALWAYS right eh. They SWARMED out so fast! I was watching from inside my house. Laughing my butt off. as he came running back inside. My gut hurt I laughed so hard.

Funny how I'm always told, your wrong at first, but them get proven right... Much amusement.

I do not blame the wasps for being pissed off, But they gotta go.

AHHH!!! I would freak out!! Glad you're working on getting rid of them!

There is an occasion, every once in a while, when one will "repel" down towards my bed from my ceiling fan, and that is quite alarming...I've never seen one in my bed when I woke up though!

I hope you don't use any pesticides that will harm snakes or any of the invertebrates you happen to have.
