Love those photos, especially him climbing on the couch

I do have what I call the turtle towel. I'll get her a blanket eventually.

Tank goes through a few blankets a year. When getting settled in he locks those front claws in and tares the blanket. They are a very strong animal. If panzer locks into a corner with carpeting you'll pull the carpet loose from the floor getting her out. I think digging in like that makes them feel more secure.
I don't use towels anymore. Too easy for Tank to rip up.

I don't have carpet, so no worries there! She's still so small compared to Tank. I'll be able to stick to towels for a while before moving up to blankets I've seen her dig into the grass when I take her outside for some fresh air.

They are sharp but don't seem to do any damage. He's ripped my arm a few times. He's a strong boy and hard to control when he wants to go somewhere or do something.

I had my poor sighted water dragon out last night. Noticed that he tries to eat shadows. Felt really mean laughing at him, but it was pretty funny. He is completely lame (as in injured) but he is still a great guy.

What happened with his eyes, Eight?

After a 25hr nap, I decided to wake Panzer. I gently lifted her from the floor and sat her on the bed... she didn't even open her eyes! I rubbed on her neck and feet for a few minutes and she finally woke and was ready to return to the water. I fed her and went out to the grocery store for about thirty minutes. When I got home, she was back out and under the bed, haha! I gave her a towel this time. Silly turtle.

Panzer seems great. Apparently Snapping Turtles are one of the species we can keep outdoors in the uk. Do you guys provide huge ponds or something for yours?

As for my Water Dragon, he was a rescue case. His growth seems stunted (he is male and only two foot long, presumed around 4 yrs old now) and he was being kept in a 3x1x1 wooden viv when I saw him. His eyes are cloudy (i'm taking a guess but probably being too close to light sources, both uv and heat, for extended periods of time). The heat lamp wasn't even guarded. I don't guard mine but it is much much higher than in his previous home. His Left wrist also looks like it hasn't formed properly, or that it was broken in the past. He wouldn't eat when I brought him home and would spend most of his time with his eyes shut.
He is now a mean, green, eating machine. He has to be hand fed but he is getting better, the food has to be very very close and moving for him to try Hunting it himself. He also chased my cat a couple of times and seems pretty happy all round now. This guy deserves my time and attention. I'll post a few pictures up later. He really is a special guy.

Nothing huge for Tank. Not what I want but it's enough to hydrate/soak and use the bathroom.

Well you must be doing something right, he seems to be a happy guy. Was watching your youtube videos of him earlier to show a few work friends. He just seems like such a cool addition to a family. It still amazes me when you tickle/stroke his neck. Is Tank actually aware that he is a turtle?
