I'm currently experimenting with bedding. I don't like aspen shavings for my garters... too much of it sticks to food items for my liking.
Has anyone tried feeding quail to their garters?

Quail, I'm curious about the input on this. I would be afraid of the feather issue, and I guess since this would not be in their wild diet, is it good in their captive environment??

I had a couple extra quail thawed and thought I'd try it, just to see what would happen. These two took it immediately. No scenting. I have no plans to continue feeding quail, it was just an experiment. I wasn't expecting them to take it, but I had my camera ready just in case.
