    Re: New from Wyoming

    Thanks everyone!

Steve, I have Thamnophis elegens vagrans around my area. I grew up with radix though, I love seeing all of the photos posted of them. I miss the oranges and yellows... the snakes around here are usually more earth toned. I will post some photos of my most recent catches as soon as I can.

I have to say I am amazed by all of the color variations in garters!!! I never knew there was such a variety until I found this site. I have fallen in love the the blue puget sound garters. Someday when I have room that is the garter I would like to own.

You're so lucky to have vagrans in your area! I would do anything for a pair of vagrans! So you don't have any snakes at the moment?

    Re: New from Wyoming

I have three w/c snakes at the moment, but they are not permanent pets... I have been doing catch & release for the last couple weeks with my daughter, just for fun. So the three I have probably will not be staying... but... who knows!

Welcome to the forum. I'm always jealous of people who can find wild snakes near home.
