    Worm Scenting Worm

I have a stubborn little scrub that will only eat earthworms (small, pale to pinkish in color) this can be difficult as they are hard to find in this heat.
The little scrub refuses all other food and isn't growing much.
I ventured out into the heat today to gather up a few to try and get some food in him.
I know if I could get some night crawler in this one that he would do much better. Then it dawned on me to try and scent night crawler with earthworm.
Here's what I did. I took a couple of this very small earthworms and chopped them up, adding some water to make kind of a soup. I then took a small night crawler and scented the front. I offered it and it was immediately taken.
I claim victory over this little stubborn eater. Things will be different for this little scrub. Next I will try scenting pinky parts with this mix.
I don't sweat no little scrubs.

I'm not sure why I never thought of it before. Such a simple idea.

It will help many troubled eater in the future.
I also think it gives the snake a taste of both worms which I hope will make switching over to the more plentiful worm easier.

No joke, I would actually consider it. I have eaten earthworms... Night crawlers are just so big!
