People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

If you are able to make it to Doncaster in September, I'm confident there will be plenty. At least, we'll be bringing plenty

Depends if you like various (naturally occuring) radix colors, blue pickeringii, infernalis, very high red-red sideds, cyrtopsis and perhaps a few more odds and ends....

    Welcome to the forum.

Garters in the UK aren't the easiest snakes to find, I think we got lucky with some of the species we've got. You see checkereds and redsided more often than others, but occasionally others show up for sale. I don't think there are any really good sources, Sjoerd at Donny in September is probably the best bet.

As for keeping them together, I've got two 2011 checkered girls together with two 2011 western blacknecks, they are happy enough and you occasionally find all four coiled up together in one hide. I've also got male/female vivs for adults where I have radix and Cuitzeos in together, they seem fine in each other's company.
