I personally don't have good feelings towards Grackle as they raid the nest of other birds but they will be cared for here on the Ranch.

I wish one of them was a Robin but it is what it is.
Tank will take care of that bird...its just recycleing

I'm sure a few of my larger snakes or even a few large garter would be up for it but I think I will pass.

While I surfed the forum on my laptop I allowed Griffin (my son named him) to sit with me.
The first photo shows a quiet, resting bird. Photo #2 is a different story

I was thinkin' it days ago but with my history and all, I figured I'd get lynched if I said it.

Two grackles in the house, huh? They'll probably make excellent guard birds / burglar alarms when they grow up.

Hey Steve be careful with that robin I've heard birds carry a lot of parasites and diseases.

I'm aware of that but thanks for the reminder. Turns out the little bird is a Common Grackle.

re: Other pets (pics and discussions)

So... I have added a few more critters to my zoo... There was this pet store... It is a good one, the manager is very knowledgeable about all animals he brings in n makes sure they are taken care of properly. He even knew Garters do NOT eat bugs! He was unaware of the goldfish issues simply because he had never looked at bringing any into the store n therefor never done any research.
Anyways... Long store short my manlift course was ... canceled today so since I was already in the city I thought I'd stop by my favorite pet store... Get there and see a big closing out sale!!! I was sad to think one good pet store is closing (owners are retiring). There is a big sign saying EVERYTHING 25% OFF! Some items 50% Off(Will be marked) So me being opportunistic... Found a few things...

A female Banana California King Snake. Everyone at the pet store was wary of her cause she'd bitten almost everyone there at least once. I was fair warned.

She hasn't even attempted to bite me.

I love her belly, looks like she slithered through some chocolate!
    100_1890.jpg
An Emperor Scorpion for my hunny as he had wanted one.
    100_1866.jpg
As well a Chilean Rose Tarantula for my hunny, again he wanted one.
    100_1873.jpg

Oh and these were all 50% off!!! I couldn't refuse them! I got a few other things like water filters, dog toys n treats and oh two BIG tanks! Each tank was $35 bucks(I should have gotten more... to clean n do up n sell for profit). They are bigger then anything I had. I saved $250 and spent $300.

That kingsnake looks great, I've always wanted a scorpion but never really got 1.

What do you feed the scorpion and tarantula?

Both the tarantula and scorpion are hand tame (yes I know they aren't pets to hold all the time)... Although the scorpion got into a defensive mode when I was picking out today's empty crickets. Didn't strike or anything just poised at my hand every where it went... following it, watching it... lol I again was told she does this, But was told she's never attacked anyone, she just looks like she's going to..
