    question

    I have a brown snake that is possible gravid do I have to increase or decrease the heat? Should I feed less?

    I am thinking that the brown snakes (Dekayi) prefer cooler temps.

    I don't ususally use a heat lamp. Room temp. My Dekayi almost never comes out when the lamp is on but she is out early morning and late evenings.

    Good thing I didn't buy one of them yet. I just use a 15 watt for light

    I would make it match up with the local (where it was found) day length. Summer solstice is fast approaching (June 20-21st) so day gets longer each day until then.

    I have never used heat with Dekayi snakes. They prefer cool temps.

    If she is gravid, I do sincerely hope you are ready for a litter of micro snakes.

    Dakayi deliver up to 30 tiny babies that are very small and difficult to feed.
