She just had another seizure. I have her wrapped up in the blanket... It really does seem to help her calm down. She doesn't want to leave the blanket. I feel the same way when I'm sick, my blankets are always comforting. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure she's comfortable.

I'm sorry to hear Snap isn't doing well. I hope she gets better.

Snap took a nap with me today. Just a little while before I started posting, I wasn't feeling too well and I didn't want to stick her in the tank with Mama, who thinks everything is food if it moves, so I wrapped her up in the blanket and set her on the warmest part of my heated bedspread. She slept with me for a whole hour and a half. The more I do to take care of her, the more I'm seeing that she does (at least) seem to appreciate my care.
She's too weak to drink water on her own, so I use one of my unused syringes that came with my medication and make little droplets of water, which she drinks every once in a while.
I wish she could just tell me how she feels. Her actual body strength is better than yesterday, but I'm not sure if being alive is making er miserable, or if she's just uncomfortable. I don't want to put her down if she has a high chance of making it. Blah. I'm having a really hard time deciding what to do.

I think that if she was in a lot of pain at this point, she wouldn't be lying calmly...she would be doing death rolls or something. If she seems stronger than she was yesterday and she has passed some urates and is taking water from you, then give it a little time...wait it out today and see how she does. If she starts seizing more or doing death rolls...showing any outward signs of pain or discomfort, you may want to put her down to end her suffering. As long as she seems comfortable, you can continue what you are doing...you are taking excellent care of her and it seems to be making her feel better. Keep us posted.

She does death roll when she has the seizures. I think she's calm just because she knows I'm trying to help hr. I mean, I'm constantly massaging her belly (I see that she's actually impacted right now) and I rub her back softly when she has a seizure, I make sure she's hydrated, etc. I *really* don't want to put her down... But I am going to have to give her an enema... I'm not looking forward to that.

snakes do that when they're in severe pain. looks like a seizure / death roll, and sometimes they'll bite themselves.

I've been watching her for the past 10 minutes.... I don't think she'll ever recover... So I think I'm going to put her down. I want to wait until Kyle gets home, though... I know he'll want to say goodbye to her too.

that sucks chantel. so sorry. offer still stands, i can "replace" them for free, and cover shipping, but my concern is, what is the cause. don't want it to happen again, know what i mean?
