    Cool My newest garter snakes...

On the expo of april 1 this year I bought 1.1 T. sirtalis sirtalis (Flame x melanistic) of 2011.
I already bought a sister of them last year.
All these snakes are part of a breeding plan in 2014.

    The pictures...

First three pics of the male

And since I do not discriminate... three pics of the female.

And this is the sister of the two I bought last year. She is two times bigger than them.

And this is a female that had the same father as the snakes above, but who's mother was a normally colored with a strikingly dorsal stripe. So she is a half sister

The feeding pic is fantastic. Who are the little orange guys in the pic? Do you house them all together?

Those orange guys are two San Francisco garters I bred last year. One is for sale and one is for a brother of me.
In that particular terrarium live a number of CB garter snakes that are all about the same length. They all are to young to breed. The species that live in that terrarium are:
    2.0 T. s. tetrataenia (CB 2011)
    0.1 T. s. sirtalis (flame x melanistic) (CB 2011)
    1.0 T. s. sirtalis (erythristic) (CB 2010)
    1.0 T. a. atratus (CB 2011)
    1.0 T. fulvus (CB 2011)
    1.1 T. s. sirtalis (melanistic) (CB 2011)

They all are between 30 and 40 cm, I think. They do well, living together. Next year their housing will be changed of course.

what size enclosure are you using for them? I've been looking into garters mostly as I knew they could co habit well. I like the idea of having a few species that can live in the same environment. Again you've taken some amazing pics

Also its a shame your not nearer the UK. How much do san francisco garters normally sell for for future reference?
