The garters are just looking for security issues... They get out of it so they can find you and tell you that there is a lack of security in their tank.

Re: Cuddles!
My mom and I do not like it when it goes over 70ish in the house, but my room always runs at least 5 degrees higher than the rest of the house. However, my mom's husband may be an Eskimo....he's the one who has been turning the heat up. His mother (lives down in Texas) will turn the heat in her house up to about 90 degrees IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER.
Summer in Texas is not cold. It is 100+ degrees.
I was sleeping with ice packs and frozen water bottles when we stayed there. I even threatened to sleep in the car. Clearly my stepfather takes after his mother.
The temp is down to 78-80 now.

Cuddles has escaped again. I don't know how, but I can't find him.

Re: Cuddles!
Did you dig in the substrate? The baby NWs love to hide like that. Otherwise, set out a warm place with a water bowl for him, he'll find his way back.

Re: Cuddles!
Look under and behind your furniture, under your fridge and oven, and behind and under anything else he may have gotten to. Put out a heating pad or other warm thing for him to go to with a dish of water for him. Dehydration is a risk for an escaped snake, also respiratory issues if they into a dusty area.

I looked through everything in my room. I wouldn't even know where to start in the rest of the house...I checked the hallway, but I don't know where else he could be.

Re: Cuddles!
He's so small. So many bad things could have already happened to him...I didn't see him anywhere in my room. I have his water dish out and his heat lamp set up, along with his cave, but I'm afraid something bad might have already happened.

Re: Cuddles!
Don't panic yet...I know it's hard not to...but he is probably in your room...they are very good at hiding. Take a big towel and stick it in the dryer to make it warm...then put it on a heap on your bedroom floor. Put his water dish near it. Turn your lights down and be very still and just wait and see if he comes out and goes to the warm towel.

Re: Cuddles!
i already panicked, so you're a little late in telling me that. Now I'm too tired to do much else.
I have the lights off, also sounds in my room are off, heat lamp is on over his hide, in case he wants to go there. His water dish is also out.
