I'm watching him try to escape again xD

Unfortunately for him, I blocked the exit that he used before. So now he seems very confused.

I've been keeping an eye on Craigslist for some deals. Also gonna check out the local thrift stores.

Oh Cuddles...don't you understand how good you have it? Lol...I try to tell this to my snakes...that they get wonderful meals...a nice warm place to live, loving attention...yet they try and try to find a way out half the time...little sneakie snakes!

I ended up blocking the hole. He was back up there twice trying to find a way out, with no luck! It was actually rather amusing. I told my mom that he had got out and she almost freaked, but I told her that I had seen him almost immediately. He was enjoying the carpet in my room. Maybe if I get him some carpet for his tank he'll be happy!

The tank is secure now. I did a thorough check and there are no more holes for him to escape through. The lid is also weighed down so that he can't push it open - though he's so small that pushing it open without the weights is impossible still.

It got up to nearly ninety degrees...again!
I'm more than a little pissed this time. No wonder it started to feel so warm.
I immediately turning Cuddles' lamp off, opened the window, and misted the tank with some cool water. The temperature is already falling back down.

I turn the lamp down, and I put ice cubes in the water when it gets excessively hot.

They all go and and chill in it. Problem solved.

What is up with the heat in your house Ashley? Are your family members eskimos or something? Jeesh...I would be putting ice cubes on myself! If it gets up to 75 in here I'm complaining and turning the heat down.
