    Steve does have some really big radixes out there on the ranch! Shyblue is a good sized girl herself.

    her darker stripes even look like they're blue. a very deep blue. her coloration is so striking, i wonder why that was selected for.

    yeah that could be it. i wonder if there's a correlation between the darker-colored snakes and a more aquatic lifestyle......

    If there is a correlation, that's probably what it is about. Water should cool them down pretty quickly.

    ah yeah never thought of that one....

    just had to get rid of my ribbon, btw i wound up finding mites and while i could have treated her, i decided it wasn't fair to Hydra to put her at risk. like we said before: better safe than sorry.

    i still can't get over how big shy is for a ribbon. i didn't think they got that big; she looks like a big female garter size-wise
