i beleive this girl is gravid...i saw some courtship a while back but didnt see any evidence of an acual breeding, but thats ok. Thamnophis eques obscurus are very rare, very beautiful and are only found around Lake Chapala in Mexico. Its a pleasure to have such a fine creature.

they vary...the female is a dark blue, the male is more green, the pictures show both
