Congratulations, Stefan! I like the Araneus diadematus, it's not that often you see photographs of a male. Was he wandering or in a female's web?

Scared him out of the web by assaulting him with my Panasonic. There was a female on the outside edge of the web, but this guy was right in the middle of it.

I had just stepped out of the house and this wasp (pompilidea anoplius marginalus) I think, was dragging it’s pray, a small wolf spider (Family Lycosidae) across the walk. The little sucker was pretty fast, but I got a half way decent shot. All ya got to do is look closely and there is all kinds of stuff going on.

Absolutely true. 4 of my 6 pictures were taken within a 3 meter radius and all of them within 36 hours of each other.


I've been trying for years to get a good picture of one of those red and black parasitic wasps (trying to figure out what it's called), but they're just too quick.

Stefan this is a Miscophus (I think) wasp just closing off a hole in my solitary wasp house. There is one that it finished in the upper right. It should be packed with little spiders for food. My project is a sucess Yaaaaaa!!
