google just keeps coming up with edema, which doesn't seem like what I have. It syas stuff about liquid filling the calves and foot area(it does feel like a little liquid is in there) but shows a leg that is swollen and yellow, leave imprints when you touch it... All of the google images Isaw showed similar or worse. Luckily, I'll see a doctor tomorrow and hope that they don't just say "it's water retention, drink more water". I've been drinking a looooot of water.

Just don't let a doctor tell you it's one thing if you know it's not or know it's something more. When I had severe pain in my left abdomen, I went to a few different doctors and told one to go uh... f off lol he kept telling me the pain was because I was constipated and was shoving a prescription for a strong laxative in my face, I kept telling him 'I SH*T FINE THANK YOU' he wouldn't listen! so I grabbed the prescription and tore it up telling him he should take it n that he could F OFF lol Finally found a doctor willing to listen to me n he did all sorts of tests n scans that didn't find anything. So then he got me in for an exploratory Laperscopic surgery n found a piece of Endometriosis Tissue stuck in-between two intestinal walls. SO glad to have that gone!

Yes I tried webmd. It gave me a whole range of nothings.

Lucky me, it's all fine and dandy in my feet except some slight pain, but now my hands and my FACE and swollen... my upper lips and cheek are huge... ugh.

Dae, I plan on being firm with whoever I see today... I'm not in the best mood with my face being so swollen that I lisp. I am PO'd and the doctor better do something... and not tell me it's water retention... I get that every month with just a little swelling and tightness in my hands and feet, but never so much that I can't walk.

Ok...that doesn't sound good Chantel...sounds almost like an allergic reaction or something. Yes, definitely make those docs listen to you! You would not have water retention in your face. Keep us posted please.

Perhaps I'm allergic to smoke. It does irritate my nose and throat a bit but not enough that I'd have really worried too much. I guess we'll see since I'm leaving in about 10-20 minutes and I won't be smoking for the next couple weeks just to make sure.

I wouldn't think that would make you swell up like that. I have seen people have allergic reactions to smoke and it usually just involves coughing and sneezing, wheezing...respiratory symptoms. Your symptoms seem systemic. Now, you could be allergic to the herbs but if you stopped using them, the reaction would have stopped or at least gotten better. I'm guessing it's something else.

Water retention. In my face, and whole body. Yep. That's the only thing I gathered from my rude and equally pissed off doctor. Then, I had to wait almost 4 hours just to get home, after 1 hour of urine and blood samples, and the doctor questioning my virginity. Lovely day...

I wish I could bring you here and take you to my doctor. Water retention from what? Did the doctor even have an explanation for it other than you are obviously lying about your virginity and working as a call girl? Maybe the blood tests will show something...I would have peed on the doctor.

Haha, throw my urine sample at the doctor!!! Whooo! No I'm not that mean. But, my blood tests came back all normal.

He didn't say anything other than "water retention" and to drink more water, preferably 10 glasses of it a day for 2 weeks with the diuretic. I'm going to change offices, I think... The only nice people are the receptionists and the doctor's assistants. If anything, the only reason why I kept my doctor after she's been rude and uncaring, is her assistant. Sweetest lady you'll ever meet. She actually cares, too.

He asked me 3 times if I was pregnant, each time my "no" got firmer and more angry sounding... Perhaps he took that as "yes, but I don't want anyone to know". But, my name isn't Mary, so I think I'm okay as far as that goes.
