Good to hear the snakes are doing well, after you've had such a crappy holiday season. But more importantly, great news that you found somewhere else to move to. I've been in a similar position twice when my landlords have decided to sell up unexpectedly when my lease came for renewal, but at least it was at the end of my lease and I didn't have to move anything more than a cat...
I hope the move goes well for you.

I rent my house and farm and well apparently my landlords have not paid their mortgage since may 2011( inspite of trying to get rent earlier then the first of the month up until i was notified by the bank not to pay them anymore) Dec 1 2011 i was notified that the bank now owned my home and that come January it would be put on the market and sold... Well they dropped a bomb on me xmas eve and listed my house for sale xmas eve of all times, so needless to say my holidays were ruined by strangers nosing around my home boxing day thru new years. Not only was it stressing my animals out but i was feeling stressed and violated to some degree afterall none of this was my choice. So once i got over being p*ssed right off at the whole thing, the realization set it that im about to be homeless, my kids, pets, and livestock were about to be homeless in the dead of winter.

Long storey short, the house is sold, and by some freak of nature i have found another farm to rent, the odds were about a billion to one of finding a farm to rent to begin with but unheard of in the dead of winter. So over this month and feb. i will be painting, and moving in.

Lexi and Indy are doing great, growing like little weeds, Indy has bout caught up to lexi is length and girth and has really blossomed into a wonderful snake. He has become very curious and seems to enjoy interacting with us through the glass. We are enjoying them immensely. over the next week or so i hope to get caught up on the forum happenings, im sure i missed a ton. Huggs and a Happy New Year to everyone!!!!
I was so angry to read the way you where treated, angry but not surprised, i had better not start on about banks or i will be here all day, if politicians cared a fig about the people who elect them then there would be laws preventing banks acting in such a cavalier, heartless way towards the innocent folks caught up in their business deals the charge should be ....ACTING WITH CALLOUS DISREGARD TOWARDS A FELLOW HUMAN BEING. It should be a corporate charge aimed at the people at the top who run the banks......... ba****ds..... going down stairs now to have a coffee and give my blood pressure time to settle down.
    I'm not actually a gynecologist...but i'll take a look.

Wow, That really must of sucked. I've been there before though... I'm a firm believer in 'Everything happens for a reason' It may be sh*ty now but I think it'll probably be for the better, maybe now you'll have decent honest landlords n even though somethings may be a compromise it'll probably be way worth all the drama n BS. Chin up. Some call me an optimist, I say Realist. lol The hardest steel has to go through the hottest fire to become the strongest. Not a lot good comes from the easy life, The more crap you have to deal with in life, the stronger you are. .. I know, doesn't change the fact that some people need a (as a friend of mine puts it...) A high five in the face... with a hammer. lol

    Re: Lexi and Indy

Thankyou all for your well wishes and im sure it will turn out fine. I tried not to get upset but the real estate agent i got stuck with was a real b*tch and did not take to kindly to me exercising the few rights that i did have. Such as demanding 24hrs notice to having strangers invade my home and privacy. I understand where the bank is coming from and that business is business. I blame the real estate agent, and i blame my landlords. They had no excuse not to pay their mortgage. My rent was always paid on time or early, all they had to do was put it in the bank and it was paid for and then some, however they chose to spend it on booze and drugs instead of the rental property. They are the ones that i blame. They even had the gull to call me in December after i called them and told them they would not be getting rent for december as the bank notified me that i was to pay the bank and to call the police if the landlords showed up on the property, and they were whining about not having christmas money. I mean hello, you just basically ensured that i would be thrown out onto the street and you have the nerve to call me and ask me to go against the bank, and send you the rent money, so you can buy your kid xmas presents and get xmas booze... No i dont think so.

Its going to be next month now before i can pay for the two puget sound garters from Scott, and i cant get as many now as i had planned, i will have to stick with just the two. The new house is smaller so not as much room for reptile tanks. Least i can still get my 2 very much wanted pugets. The two checkereds Indy and Lexi are doing amazing, they are both approx 18 inches long now and thriving. All our pets are my sanity and salvation.

Unfortunately, our little red eared slider hatchling succumbed to his pneumonia just after christmas, despite daily medications for it. My daughter misses him terribly so i promised this summer we would get her another turtle, only a bigger turtle so we dont have to go through this again with a hatchling.

Can't wait til the pugets are born and ready to be shipped and they arrive here. I have to send scott an email yet too and let him know what happened and that my payment will be bout 3 weeks late for the babies. Least its a prepay and the babies arent sitting there waiting.

anyhow, off to go do some more painting. Have a great day everyone!

I think you're dead right to have exercised your right to 24h notice, I certainly would have done. And if I bumped into the landlord on the street...

Enjoy the painting and look forward to the Pugets.

I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that and I am really glad that you found another place to live. I'm also sorry about the turtle passing. I believe in karma. That real estate agent will be in a similar situation some day and need some help and understanding from someone and she won't get it...then she will think back to how she treated you and realize how crappy it was. Glad to hear the snakes are doing well.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. That is just aweful!! I'm glad you found a place though. Will you be able to keep all your animals and livestock?
Glad to hear Lexi and Indy are doing so well for you.
You will love having Pugets! They have a great personality. They can get really greedy at food time, and are a feisty lot, but they are beautiful and wonderful to keep.

    Hey ya'll

Well all moved and settled into the new place, and looks like spring is finally arriving here. Cant wait until the snow melts and i see what my land looks like, looks like it might be a good place to find some garters in the wild for us to check out (and keep our dog away from). Looking forward to importing our pugets and summer. Lexi and Indy are doing great, growing like weeds. They seemed to have switched personalities on me, Indy my male, is now alot more outgoing and curious and less fearful then my female Lexi. They are settled into their new home as well as all my other fin, feathered, and furred creatures. Sorry I havent been around much, but moving was rough especially since at about the same time i managed to pinch not one but two nerve bundles in my neck and have been in constant pain. But i have a great chiropractor who is helping me through that and i can type again YAY. Ill post a new pic of lexi and indy's tank set up and of indy exploring his new tree.. Lexi was content to hide behind it.

    Happy Early Spring Everyone.

first two pics are of the tank sitting ontop my electric fireplace, 3rd is indy pretending he is a tree snake, and last is lexi hiding.
