    Standard 20 gallon is 30"L x 12"W x 12"H

    Oh sorry. In centimeters that's: 76.2"L x 30.5"W x 30.5"H

Oh, so it's cheaper then (if bought on allegro [local auction site] of course; in petshops prices are twice as high or even more) in here. Last time I checked, viv 80x40x40 made of glass costs around $62 on allegro (the cheapest).

That's hilarious! "oh yeah, smart guy? Lets see if you can catch a fish in your mouth by slamming your face in the water... yeah, I that's what I thought"

    About time to introduce Oscar.

I'll do it around Christmas. He so needs to get out of this setup. He'll love the company too.

My girls are going to live together soon too! Christmas Eve actually...although I might cheat for tomorrow or the 23rd because one of the lights went out and I don't want to use a new bulb for just two days. I still need to clean out the 20 gallon which has been less than fun so far.

    Re: Jesse's garter snakes

I think he'll be much more secure and comfortable with other snakes. He's so insecure it's almost sad. Only way he comes out is to feed, or when I'm not in the room.. even when he's feeding, he only comes part way out, and then shoots back in after grabbing the food.

He won't actually be with all these guys long, but he and Rooster will probably live with eachother for along time, along with whatever I buy next year.

    Re: Jesse's garter snakes

Ya know what, was gonna post a bunch of curled up pictures but I can't find all of 'em right now, so I'm turning this into "my how he's grown!" post of Smoke, although Red is featured too.

    with curled up pictures.

I LOVE looking at how small they were.

Here;s Smoke and Red back when I got them.. I got Red to make Smoke feel more secure. He was terrified of coming out.. Red helped that, and they literally never left each others side. If one moved to a different hide, the other moved with him. They came out together, and went back together. Was CUTE. Wish I had my camera skills back then, don't have a lot of pictures.
They're still like this, just much more bold now, having no fear of coming out and of me, but they're still buds. Which is why I'm keeping them together when I move everyone.

All of these pictures are in the exact same spot, under the exact same hide.

    When I got Rooster.

    Now.

    Big ol' boy now...
