I remember computer class in high school when we had to program in all that code crap just so you could print out some sort of sad looking dot matrix picture of a smiley face three hours later...

I don't know the computer teacher just gave us some stuff to type in a bunch of code and then a stupid picture would come out on that pitiful printer back in the 80's...back when Atari was cool...
