Steve, every time I feel tempted to put my girls together, one of your posts (not unlike the one above) pops up in my head and then I stop myself from doing it. 39 more days to go...

Adjusting quarantine time can only end in the deaths of more snakes. Possibly a whole collection.
The chances of this happening are slim but just the fact that it does happen should make a quarantine period like stone.

Well in my mind it was "3 or 4 months" lol. But Steve I think i just forget how important it is. When you remind me i realize how it important it is and will wait the 30 days. It also felt a lot longer than 3 months and i just figured i could put him in now as it kinda needs to be done soon but 30 more days won't hurt, you're right. Thanks

This is Rooster's spot that I'm always talking about. Every time there's food he goes up there, "begs" eats, and goes back down. Doesn't try and escape, nothing, just sits there. He's a smart snake...

Oooh, oooh, pick me! I know! Anerythristic Red Sided (T. sirtalis parietalis) Mutated gene responsible for producing red pigment leaves the snake unable to produce red pigment so the areas that should be red, have no pigment at all. This is of course an oversimplification because it also effects the stripe which would normally be yellow usually. The cool thing about these is that if you can produce a snake that is both anery and albino, (amelanistic) you get a very clean looking snow. (entire snake lacks all pigment colors)

Is he het for albino Jesse? possible het? That would be a bonus. At any rate, if you breed him to an albino you know the babies will be het for snow (double het for albino and anery) for sure. Thing is, you gotta wait another generation to get snows. I guess that's why parietalis snows are still so expensive.
