That's a beautiful ribbon snake if I ever saw one. Also big. I had a pet ribbon in the past. He was very small. In his 9 years, he only grew up to about a foot and a half, and three quarters of a centimeter thick. That's a good ribbon.

Shyblue is in opaque phase(shedding phase, Ecdysis) again.
She's a growing machine.

When they shed it's a good reminder that they are doing well and growing.
Random thought about shedding... have you ever found something interesting to do with the shed skins? I check them for the eyecaps and tail tips, then they head for the bin.

I attempted to turn a wet, fresh shed rightside out the other day.
It was a total failure.

I can see how that would have been unsuccessful. Esk shed in his water yesterday while we were talking, and after fishing the wet shed out it was difficult enough to check the eyecaps were there. I suppose with a small shed and some hemostats you may be able to invert the shed skin. :-)

I keep all my sheds that come out perfect (or nearly) in a drawer. It's kind of like keeping a child's piece of scribbly art...
