Okay question for ya'll, For those of you in Canada that order pinkies online, where is the cheapest place to order them from im not fond of paying over $1 per pinkie. I have some stashed already but im going to need more. Thanks so much in advance.

Re: Pinkies
Layne labs ships to Canada, not sure how much it would be though.

Re: Pinkies
wasnt having much luck with that rodent breeders list. Lots looks like they are for pets not feeders. I emailed Layne labs for a shipping cost. Hoping it works out cheaper. Thanks, steve and kat for your replies.

Re: Pinkies
I'm really thinking of breeding my own mice for the pinkies. It would be so much cheaper than paying a buck per pinky. My little ones eat 12 a week , all adds up. Not including the rat pinkies for my older group they can gobble up 4-8 a week @ 1.40 per

Re: Pinkies
i considered that since i used to raise hamsters years ago but i think it would just be too hard on my two daughters, one is 10 yrs old and the other is 6 years old and like mom they love all animals. so they would be horrified if mom fed what they see as pets to the snake. It has taken me a couple years to make them understand that we dont keep all the pigs and cows as pets some have to be eaten. So at least for now, i think it best to slowely get them used to even seeing dead pinkies as snake food, that werent raised by us.. but yes at some point i will go to raising pinkies myself. Least then you know for sure where they can from and what went into making them and feeding the parents and conditions in which they are kept, and that they were killed humanly. i know alot of places say they are killed humanely but you can never really know for sure.

Re: Pinkies
It seems to be the big issue with raising your own feeder mice is the kids, I think I seen that in the 'raising feeder mice, is it for you" thread. I don't have kids so it can work for me

Re: Pinkies
I tried getting a quote from grayhound and it came to like $115, I was like no way. So I emailed the guy. Hopefully he will get back to me in a pleasing way, not like one company here in my province, it was like he didn't want to sell his feeders to me.
I like this guys prices though. 100 for $35. I would be paying $110.88 at the petshop at the corner of my street
