Izy ate two small guppies. She has ignored a smelt though. I'm wondering if she eats those live fish simply because it's fun or because she refuses to eat anything else. Well, there was a time she was eating everything...

    Re: Isis' diary.

I decided to sacrifice my two quite big molly fish. Kleo was wandering aroud but suprisingly she wasn't interesed at first. Then Izy went in. She ignored a nightcrawler and smelts though. She grabbed a molly but it has slipped out from her mouth to the ground. Luckily she still was interested in eating it. Then Kleo decided to act. She catched another molly and has started to eat it. When molly slipped again out of Izy's mouth - she left it and went for Kleo's molly! She grabbed the fish that Kleo was eating on the other side (it would be a tail). I had to intervene at this point, because it could end up with Izy being swallowed by Kleo. But Izy was in the eating mood now and nothing could stop her, so she grabbed offered molly instead (the one she has left) enthusiastically. Both my snakes swallowed happily their meal and it's the end of story.
Oh yeah, Amon shed yesterday. His personal Ramadan is continuing though. 69 days by now. :[

Are you talking about molly fight or Amon's fast?

Well, Izy isn't VERY exited - she doesn't eat properly yet. But she can't resist the opportunity of fish hunt and when she gets that mode - she'll not stop until the fish is in her belly. That's the main difference between her and Amon - she's fasting BUT will eat live fish. I think she just likes the thrill of hunting (she won't take scented food, even if it's the same molly that she hunted down) in the water (she ignores live night crawlers right now as well).

Right, that's why I said that. I swear, you will never see a more crazed, hyper, exited, freaking snake than my flame when you put live fish in there!

Yeah, I think it's more about having fun than actually eating...
