Very cool, Wayne! Do you ever worry that he'll overpower that leash at some point? I know you don't really try to control him with it anyway, but well.... I worry about these things. I'm a mom, it's what I do. lol

He does try and slip out, just like any child, never take your eyes off him.

It's a lizard leash, but I bet he could break the clips right off the cord if he really wanted to.

I only use the leash to follow along behind him.

Only once in all this time have I ever had to yank back on it, someone started s dirt bike nearby and the engine spooked him.

and of course, I never take him anywhere near pre existing burrows in the ground.

I just re-read this whole thread from the beginning, The husbandry practices for our Savannah were all wrong, I feel really fortunate that Chomper remained healthy through the learning process.
