the posts are still there Steve but the cartoons are missing the reason i am making the point is that my cartoon was accompanied by a rhyme which is still there but it looks silly having just a rhyme in what is a cartoon thread without the cartoon

If you deleted them from you hosting site (photobuket, the gallery etc) it'll disappear anywhere it was posted.

sorry Jesse i don't have a clue what you are talking about, my ignorance on computers is monumental, my son Chris is back from holiday tomorrow, he put the cartoon on for me, so with a bit of luck he will know what you mean.

Think of it this way. When you place a photo in the gallery and then post that photo in a thread, that thread is going to the gallery to borrow the photo for the thread. If that photo gets deleted from the gallery then the thread that borrowed it has nothing to borrow so it comes up blank. This same thing occurs if the photo's home is on another website. If it gets deleted the thread goes to get it but it's gone.

Snakehill, It's like with YouTube, let's say I post one here, but than the person who's channel its from deletes that video, the video I just posted will no longer show up here, because the video no longer exists. Steve explained it better than I ever could so if you didn't get that I don't know if I can help.
