    It was on the plate. I just nudged them over to it. 2 of them just went away, but one ate about 5 chunks! I tried offering the other 2 with the tongs. I chased them all over the tank with it right in their face. No luck with them yet though.

    Here is the slug that helped the baby eat. It's name is Herb (because it adds so much flavor!!).

    Just don't get too much slime on the food, those kinds of slugs have the tendency to choke garters with their slime.

    Ok. He's lighter brown than the picture is showing though. I tried a banana slug a few days ago, but that one was like super glue! Herb seems a lot less slimy. I'm going to keep him alive and make sure I have slug scent for the winter.

    The slugs that have stripes and spots are a lot better, they might be a bit more slimy in some ways but if you poke Herb enough he might put out yellow slime, which is the choking stuff.
