Anything they can catch and hold.

    Common Sac Spider Bite

The bite of a common sac spider (Chiracanthium) can be misdiagnosed as a brown recluse spider bite. Injuries develop in a similar manner but are much less severe. Reactions, such as swelling, slow healing, and ulcerated sores around the bite site, are similar enough to be confusing. If you are bit-ten by a spider, ice and elevate the bite site. Seek medical attention if the symptoms persist or intensify. Physicians will often prescribe antibiotics to prevent secondary infections. Most bites will start to improve in a few hours to 2-3 days.

looks more like a wolf spider to me, definitely a male. at this point in his life, he is not eating, he is looking for a female to breed with... will die trying.
a lot of wolf type spiders build sheet webs.... looks like on of them, in the wolf spider family. we find them regularly out here passing thru the house.

Hey Steve... all the sac spiders I have seen are yellow... got lots othem out here.

Checking the web I see they come in different colors.
You might be right about it being a Wolf Spider. I guess I'm used to seeing the large female.

Not sure it's a Wolf Spider.
    Here's a cool website.
Abdomen doesn't look right for a Wolf Spider.

Heck, I could be way off base with any of this. I love spiders but don't know that much about them.

    I'll stick with radixes.

this spider seemed ready to do battle with me
is there a good way to get them moved without killing them?
this one's not shy, and someone else might freak
what kind of place might they like to be moved to?
somewhere near my roach colonies, where they could feast on escapees perhaps?
