    Yeh, I'd have to agree with everyone else and say T.radix. Although can't really do a real good scale count from the pic, the lateral stripe does look to be higher then T.sirtalis. Very attrative snake.....good find!

    The head certainly looks T. radix, but I'm not totally convinced. A picture we can take a scale count from might be helpful?

    Alrighty it seems as though many people are confused by this type of snake just because it says garter. But in fact it isn't a garter at all in fact it is a striped keelback, Xenochrophis vittatus, Just google it and the first site will tell you a lot about them. I don't know much about the breeding habits but there are a few people here that have them including me. This one is definitely my favorite in my whole collection.
