Powers back on. Pumps are working overtime. A lot of water to move.
The real work will begin after the water level has dropped.

Our rivers are finally dropping and the parks are almost usable now. Hasn't rained in over a month. Still, it's been a mild and cool summer. It's only been upper 70's to mid-80's. We have yet to hit 90 degrees in well over a year. They say we might hit 89 soon, but that's not quite 90.

So sorry, Steve. That doesn't sound like fun at all, but I'm glad everyone's safe.

Pulled the foam pads off most of the floor. They're outside drying. Fans going and windows open. My kids were a big help scooping water soaked bedding out of the big snake enclosures. Furnace and water heater are drying out. One clothes dryer is working. Will wait another 24 hours before I plug the fridge and freezer back in.
Snakes will be without heat and light for a few days while things dry out.
They're calling for more storms this evening.
